我們這是第二次辦文化活動，在這個活動當中，我們的主要內容是學習中國傳統書法以及剪紙藝術。我們的活動時間在下午舉辦，為期一個小時。預期參加的人數本來只有七個或八個，但活動當天來了十五位學生。參與的學生有來自elementary中文，中級中文班，甚至沒有學習中文但是對中國文化或藝術有興趣的學生。我的主治instructor以她拿手的剪紙藝術帶領學生剪出各式各樣的基礎圖案，像是櫻花還有梅花。我和我們的中文Tutor帶領學生撰寫書法，舉凡握筆方式，下筆順序。我們教導他們如何撰寫自己的中文姓名，未來我們希望能夠舉辦書法競賽，鼓勵以及讓學生認識學習傳統文化之美。

This is our second cultural event. In this event, our main content is to learn Chinese traditional calligraphy and the art of paper-cutting. Our event time is held in the afternoon and lasts for one hour. The expected number of participants was originally only seven or eight, but fifteen students came on the day of the event. Participating students include elementary Chinese, intermediate Chinese classes, and even students who have not studied Chinese but are interested in Chinese culture or art. My chief instructor uses her good paper-cutting art to lead students to cut out various basic patterns, such as cherry blossoms and plum blossoms. My Chinese Tutor and I lead students to write calligraphy, showing how to hold the pen and the order of writing. We teach them how to write their Chinese names. In the future, we hope to hold a calligraphy contest to encourage and let students learn about the beauty of traditional culture.
